What can I do or what should be done regarding my situation? Do I talk to him before the corrective surgery or after?

I had my wisdom teeth removed. One was very impacted and proved to be complicated. The Dr said he had to break it 25 times to get it out. He took an xray afterwards to show there was nothing remaining. A couple of days later, I am in excruciating pain and it turns out that I have a dry socket. I go in for him to fix it and he puts a dressing on the wound. I'm put on more meds and antibiotics. My swelling goes down then out of nowhere, my cheek gets swollen again. I go see the DR and it is infected again. Now, this has happened a total of 4 times and he schedules me for a debridement surgery for this week (at NO charge). I had to go through a lot and miss alot of work because of this surgery, more than the average tooth extraction patient. I feel that it is unfair that I have to pay $875 for the 1st surgery. Because my insurance benefits were about to expire, I had to find a dr to do the surgery right away. When they told me it was $875 outofpocket, I was like WHY so much? The lady explained that my insurance only covers 60 percent. Never did she say she they were out of network. I want to tell the DR. that he needs to lower the price. Do I tell him this before the surgery this week

I'd say do it after. It doesn't sound like this Dr. is exactly the best and you don't want him upset with you while he's doing the surgery. However, after you do that, if he refuses, then you might consider a lawsuit against him for negligence. Now, this is a medical malpractice lawsuit and those are difficult in Texas. However, if you get another dentist in the area to state that he would've handled your tooth situation differently and cheaper, then you'll get past the first hurdle and he'll likely settle quickly if all you're asking for is a refund and a little bit of attorney's fees. If you're willing to walk away with about $1000 and maybe $3000 for your attorney, then you can probably settle fairly quickly. First try to work it out with the Dr., if he doesn't want to help, then it's time to speak to an attorney about suing.
