I have a car accident. Someone run over a stop sign and hit me on the rear end. I ended up with lower back pain. I hired a Lawyer but I got rid off him because he sent me to a rude people to get chiropractic service .
The second lawyer charge the same 33% of the service.
How can I calculate how this money should be distributed after I signed the settlement case?
I know some lawyers are thieve.
Can I request by law a copy of the breakdown of the charges as well of the check??

I don't know the facts of your case, but 1/3 is pretty customary for a car accident. While there is always a "bad apple in the bunch," I think it's unfair to say that about lawyers, the vast majority of which, in my experience, are true professionals who care deeply about justice and their clients. Unfortunately, there are some bad people in almost every profession. The legal profession is a well-regulated one in that lawyers must abide by certain laws and ethical rules. In a contingency fee case, you must be given an itemized breakdown of the settlement and how it will be distributed. You as the client have the right to approve or deny how the funds will be spent. Bear in mind that by law, valid and enforceable liens must be paid. If you believe you have grounds to dispute a lien, you must inform your lawyer and they can advise you of what to do and how the law applies to you. You cannot just refuse to pay a lien. The lawyer must follow a procedure by law to deal with that situation.
As for your situation, consult with your lawyer. This reply post is not legal advice. You should also be careful of what you post here because it's not privileged or confidential. Inform your lawyer of what you posted here as it may affect your case. If you believe your lawyer is not charging you a reasonable fee, ask your lawyer how the fee is being calculated and the basis for it. I'm sorry to hear that you are not happy with your lawyer, but if you communicate with your lawyer instead of posting about him or her online without them knowing, you can hopefully resolve this concern and get the answers you're seeking. Consult your attorney immediately and without delay.
