Can my roommate kick me out if I'm on the lease?

I'm living with a woman who until recently I was dating. We are both on the lease. I told this woman I didn't want to be in a relationship with her anymore and just wanted to be roommates. She didn't take that very well, and started saying she's going to evict me, on grounds of "not helping out around the place". I do struggle with messiness and organization, but I personally feel she's bitter about the break-up. She had recently took my key away, which I got back only after getting the police involved. I'm wondering can she actually evict me for being messy or does she need to have legal valid reasons. I am positive that she doesn't have any legal valid reasons for evicting me.
