I recently got my H1 transfer approval. I work for a university as a staff member. I'm interested in traveling to Canada, to meet my relatives and also get my visa stamped. Previously, I was on an H1 for a year, but never got my visa stamped. My home country is India. My education as well as work experience has been in the U.S. Is it a good idea to travel to Toronto and get my visa stamped?

I do not recommend Toronto .... go home and get your visa in India.
Of course, talk to the lawyer that is processing the H visa.
