- Brian Brock was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1969, appointed King’s Counsel in 1981 and received a Specialist in Civil Litigation
- Brian was a valiant leader of lawyers, dedicating himself to the practice and education in the areas of Commercial Insurance, Products Liability, Class Actions, Professional Liability and Personal Injury
- Brian taught at Osgoode Hall Law School, University of Toronto and the Law Society of Upper Canada
- He was inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers
- He served as President of the Toronto/County of York Law Association, the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto, as a Director of The Advocates’ Society and Editor of the Advocates’ Society Journal
- He served on the Regional Senior Justices Bench and Bar Committee
- He was a permanent member of Canadian Defence Lawyers, DRI – Lawyers Representing Business, and the Canadian Bar Association
- Brian was instrumental in Dutton Brock LLP becoming a premier insurance defence firm in Canada
- His legacy will live on with family, friends and colleagues within the legal community that he devoted his life to
