Bruce Dick has been practicing business law for more than 30 years, with a focus on companies involved in energy or technology industries. His experience across this blend of industries helps his clients stay abreast of the most relevant legal topics for their business.

Bruce’s energy industry experience includes representing independent power producers and utilities with regard to their conventional and renewable energy (including geothermal, recovered energy, solar and wind) projects in the United States and internationally. Bruce’s energy industry work includes drafting and negotiating:

  • Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts

  • Power purchase agreements,

  • Operation and maintenance agreements,

  • Project finance agreements

  • Project development contracts

  • Energy project purchase and sale agreements

  • Turbine and other equipment purchase contracts

  • Geothermal lease and well drilling agreements

    Within the clean technology and other technology industries, Bruce has represented clean technology, cloud computing, computer hardware, e-commerce, energy, medical device, software as a service (“SaaS”), software applications, voice recognition and other technology clients. Bruce’s cleantech and technology industry experience includes the following:

    • intellectual property acquisition and sales

    • development, distribution, e-commerce, hosting, license, OEM and SaaS agreements

    • strategic alliances and joint ventures

    • M&A intellectual property diligence and contracting issues
