Daniel is a skilled Tax Attorney who moved to Corpus Christi in 2019 to expand his practice and return to Texas. With over 29 years of experience in the legal profession, Daniel brings a wealth of knowledge of Taxation, IRS Dispute representation & resolution, Estate Planning, Accounting, and Business & Contract Law to South Texas. Born in El Paso, Daniel was raised in scenic Southern Utah, and attended Law School at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, in Salt Lake City. After serving as Judicial Clerk for the 5th District Court of Utah for 2 ½ years, he relocated to Texas and earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas. After 7 years split between serving as a Senior Vice-President with the Generation-Skipping Taxation Department at the Northern Trust Co., and as an Editor/Author with CCH Taxation Software company, Daniel operated a successful practice in McKinney for several years. After a brief relocation to Phoenix, he returned to Texas in 2019 with an additional degree under his belt: a Master’s of Accountancy – making COTTS LAW a full-service Tax Law Practice.
