Atty. Jack Amster

Jack Amster is a managing associate at Dentons Sirote’s Birmingham, Alabama office, where he is a member of the Trusts, Estates and Wealth Preservation practice. Jack focuses on assisting individuals, families, and businesses with estate and tax planning matters and trust and estate administration, as well as wealth transfer issues and business succession. His practice includes preparing and administering wills and trusts, advising fiduciaries on estate and trust administration, assisting with the formation and reorganization of closely held corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies, and implementing leveraged wealth transfer techniques.

Jack has been recognized in the 2025 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for his work in Trusts and Estates. He holds an LLM in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and a JD from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, where he earned a spot on the Dean's List and received both the Scholar of Merit and Academic Excellence Scholarships. Jack also holds a degree in finance and a minor in political science from Auburn University, where he was a distinguished student.
