- While attending Muhlenberg, Mr. Long was a student-athlete as a member of Muhlenberg’s NCAA Division III football team
- Following his undergraduate studies, Mr. Long earned his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in May of 2015
- Mr. Long graduated with Pro-Bono honors due to his extensive contributions to the underprivileged in Jacksonville, Florida
- Mr. Long was a member of Phi-Delta-Phi National Legal Honors Society and the Robert E. Williams Inn of Court
- While at Florida Coastal, Mr. Long actively pursued justice for the underprivileged through his work at Jacksonville Legal Aid
- While at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, he volunteered at the Sulzbacher Homeless Shelter and aided homeless individuals in obtaining justice through the legal system
- In 2014, Jesse was recognized by Jacksonville Area Legal Aid for his contribution to the underprivileged with Pro Bono Honors for non-attorney volunteers contributing more than 100 hours of service
- Mr. Long was also was a student clinician at Florida Coastal’s Disability and Public Benefits Clinic, where he aided families with disabled children obtain Guardian Advocacies through the Probate Division of the Circuit Court of the 4th Judicial Circuit, in Jacksonville, Florida
- He also aided families in Disability Claims with the Social Security Administration on denial of benefits and over payment issues
- Upon passing the Florida Bar in September of 2015, Mr. Long began his legal career practicing first party insurance claims at a boutique firm in Boca Raton, Florida
- Mr. Long successfully represented a range of clients (from large condo associations to individual residential property owners) and water mitigation/mold remediation companies in litigation against large insurance companies
- His experience includes, but is not limited to, property insurance, (residential and commercial), PIP Insurance, commercial general liability insurance, and marine insurance
- In 2017, Mr. Long took his expertise and knowledge in the first party insurance area of law to at that time a family law practice
- Mr. Long developed and lead the first party practice at the Plaintiff’s firm based in Weston and was elevated to Partner prior to his opening and founding Legal Grit, PLLC in September of 2019
