- After relocating to Florida, Mr. McCabe obtained his Bachelor’s Degree with Highest Honors in the first full graduating class of Florida Gulf Coast University in 2000
- He then attended University of Florida Law School in Gainesville, where he graduated with Honors in 2004 and earned Book Awards for both Trial Practice and Health Care Law
- While attending law school, Mr. McCabe interned for Judge of Compensation Claims Ohlman in preparation for his career as a Workers’ Compensation attorney
- From 2004 until 2018, Mr. McCabe represented Employers, Carriers, Municipalities and Third Party Service providers as a Workers’ Compensation Defense attorneys
- Mr. McCabe’s experience as a Defense attorney includes addressing all Workers’ Compensation issues including catastrophic injury and death claims, Heart & Lung Bill claims for First Responders, Occupational Exposure/Disease claims, and complex multiple party claims
- His former clients have relied on Mr. McCabe’s ability to evaluate the legal merits and settlement value of claims, and he now utilizes his understanding of the decision making process of his former clients to better serve his current clients
- Michael also has more than 12 years experience as an Appellate Attorney handling Workers’ Compensation Appeals, and has conducted live argument before the First District Court of Appeals in Tallahassee
