Paul Williamson focuses his practice on Construction Law and Litigation – Construction, with additional experience in government contracts law and complex commercial litigation. He is Senior Counsel in Peckar & Abramson PC’s Washington, District of Columbia office. Paul represents general contractors, subcontractors, owners, and developers in disputes arising from private and public construction projects. His work includes matters in federal and state courts in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, New York, and California, as well as proceedings before boards of contract appeals.
Paul’s practice encompasses all phases of construction-related disputes, including trial, alternative dispute resolution, depositions, appeals, and pre-litigation counseling. He regularly assists clients with risk management and dispute avoidance strategies designed to address project challenges and support business objectives throughout the construction lifecycle.
In addition to his construction litigation practice, Paul has represented multinational and domestic corporations, as well as municipal entities, in complex commercial litigation matters. His experience includes civil antitrust litigation, government investigations, labor and employment disputes, arbitrations, and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to entering private practice, Paul served as a judicial intern for The Honorable Mae A. D’Agostino and The Honorable Lawrence E. Kahn in the Northern District of New York. He also worked in the defense industry, focusing on FAR compliance, contract pricing, financial risk analysis, and proposal preparation as part of Northrop Grumman’s New Business Acquisition unit. Paul earned his B.A. from Dickinson College and his J.D. from Albany Law School, where he served as Executive Editor for Business of the Albany Law Review. He was named to the Super Lawyers Washington, DC Rising Stars list for 2024 and 2025.
