- Prior to joining Akerman, Mr. Chaskes was Senior Counsel for Complex Litigation at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, where he represented the FDIC and RTC in actions that recovered more than $1 billion from various parties involved in the collapse of the junk bond markets
