About

Robert T. Ray's journey in the legal field reflects his deep-rooted connections to different parts of the country. Raised in Virginia, he followed his family's path to north Alabama after earning his degree from Vermont Law School. His father's family ties to north Georgia and north Alabama drew him back to the region after an illustrious career serving the federal government. Prior to law school, Robert accomplished his studies at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and explored engineering at Virginia Tech before transferring to George Mason. Upon arriving in Alabama, Robert embarked on his legal career, dedicated to representing the citizens of DeKalb County and neighboring areas. With a brief stint in Atlanta, where he honed his skills in medical malpractice litigation, he eventually established his current law practice at 200 Alabama Avenue in Fort Payne, Alabama. A fervent believer in the power of trial work, Robert is a graduate of the prestigious Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College (1997) and the Criminal Defense College (2000). For him, winning justice for his clients is not just a matter of legal strategy, but a heartfelt commitment. He deeply cares about his clients and strives to convey that genuine concern to the jury. Robert firmly believes that jurors will be more inclined to believe in a case and a client if they perceive that the lawyer wholeheartedly believes in both.
