• Marion General Hospital, Inc., Board Chairman (2003-2009) Selected by the Hospital’s Governing Board, Scott served on the board’s operating committee, nominating committee and as Chairman from 2006-2008
• He helped guide the hospital through a leadership transition and the successful negotiation of a new long-term lease between the City of Marion and the hospital
• Marion County United Way, Executive Board Member (2005-2007) Scott served the United Way as a board member and allocations committee member as the organization transitioned from a fundraiser to a service organization that focuses on community needs evaluations and competitive funding
• Palace Cultural Arts Association, Board Chairman (2007-2016) Scott led the Board of Directors for the Marion Palace Theatre, a 1,440-seat performing arts venue in Marion
• The Palace is one of the few remaining atmospheric theatres in the world
