- He is licensed to practice in all Texas state courts and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas
- Mr. Gordon was born in Newark, New Jersey on September 28, 1967
- After graduating with honors from High School, he attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges and graduated with a BA in 1989
- Steve then choose SMU, Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas to obtain his law his Juris Doctorate, J.D. in 1992
- After only one year, in 1993, Steve was admitted to the State Bar of Texas, and also to practice before the U.S
- District Court, Northern District of Texas
- After graduating from SMU’s Dedman School of Law, he started his career as a corporate lobbyist for Trinity Industries in Dallas, Texas
- Mr. Gordon’s legal experience started with the Tarrant County District Attorney’s office as an assistant district attorney from 1993 – 1998, where he achieved the position of Chief Prosecutor over the Family Violence Unit
- A unit which he was instrumental in forming during his time there
- Following his prosecutorial career, Mr. Gordon was associated with the Law Office of Jim Lollar & Associates in Fort Worth, where he built a successful criminal defense practice in federal and state court
- In 2003, Mr. Gordon partnered with Jeffrey Cureton, to form Cureton & Gordon, LLP, where he continued to successfully represent clients in criminal and civil cases at the state and federal levels
- In 2010 Mr. Cureton left the firm to preside as a Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of the United States District Courts of Texas
- Since the formation of Steve Gordon and Associates in 2010, the Firm has represented successfully, multiple cases in the State of Texas and also in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas
- He is a proud member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, former President of the Tarrant County Defense Bar and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association
