- In addition, Ty was heavily involved in the defense of a high profile claim by the Centers for Medicare Services under the Medicare Secondary Payer Act, in which the government sought nearly $200 million in Medicare repayments from a chemical company that had previously made settlement payments to Medicare beneficiaries in a mass tort action
- The Eleventh Circuit recently upheld the dismissal of these claims
- Ty also regularly representing transportation and logistics industry clients in administrative proceedings, cargo claims, motor vehicle accidents, and contract disputes, as well as other business tort actions
