My girlfriend moved out of my townhouse 3 months ago and left some possessions behind. When she lived with me, she never paid rent. I gave her a verbal timeline to remove her things but the timeframe passed by without her moving anything. I then verbally gave her a one month extension, and now that time has passed by without me hearing from her. Now I have attempted to reach her so I can arrange to deliver her things, but she does not call back. Can I give her things to charity or throw them away?

If you know where your ex-girl friend is living, the best option is for you to pack her belongings up and drop them off at her residence. Alternatively, you can do the same at her place of employment. The least best alternative is for you to send her a certified letter advising her that she has until a certain date to collect her belongings and further advising her that if she does not collect them by that date that you will treat the belongings as having been abandoned and will dipose of them. You may wish to hire an attorney to assist you with this matter.
