Can I take a Shiffon dog Breeder to court for vet bills after purchasing a puppy and finding out two days later it has parvo.

I was told that this puppy had its first shots and it was due for the 8 week shot. I took the puppy home and made a appointment for his shot. I got an apointment two days later. This puppy became sick the same night. Since then He has been at the vet clinic with several test ran. The puppy has parvo and a possible liver shunt. I called the board of health and animal control about the conditions of the residence that the puppy came from. I was told that she had 15 dogs in a double wide trailer and feces all over the floor she has been given 15 days to clean this up. Do I have a chance in winning a case for her to cover the vet bills for this sick puppy?

Yes, you can sue her, but winning a judgment (and there is no guarantee you will win) and collecting a judgment are two entirely different things. Given what you've said about her living conditions, I am going to guess that she does not have the money to pay any judgment and if she filed for bankruptcy it is unlikely you would receive any money. And to play devil's advocate for a moment - if you knew about the deplorable conditions the puppy was living in, how could you not have expected him to be ill? Unless your sales contract stated that the puppy was in good health, I think you will be throwing good money after bad in suing her, but only you can make that decision. you might want to speak with a local attorney for further guidance. I hope your puppy gets well soon.
