i just got my i94 card 2 days ago and it was stamped as a ASYLUM STATUS GRANTED INDEFINITELY SECTION 208 immigration and nationality act, and underneath that it also has a date month year (7/27/2011). i wanna know is it the date that was stamped in my i94 card is based on the judge's order date? or something else?

That should be the date that your status as an asylee was granted. This date is important because it governs when you can apply for residence. Neil

My colleague is correct and it appears they issued it correctly with a retroactive date if that is indeed when your asylum status was granted.
