My husband is still married in Mexico , I know my marriage is invalid, Do I need to get a divorce or what do I do ?

Do I have to do anything or do I just go switch my name and forget about it. I live in West Virginia. I want a divorce anyway but do I need one since he is still married?

Check with a W.Va attorney. There should be a way to file a suit to declare your marriage void because of his existing marriage in Mexico. I think you do need a judicial determination/order/decree that your marriage is void and the reason why.
