I am on vacation in another state and filing for divorce in florida. The documents need to be signed by a notary public... can i use a notary public in another state or do i have to use one from florida?

Any notary from any state will work. You don't have to use a Florida notary. If the paperwork says, "State of Florida" by the notary area, you can cross out the word, "Florida," and write in the name of the state you are in.

You can use any duly authorized notary public, whether they are from Florida or not.
