I know this means I get a warrant for my arrest, however I'm student. A busy student. I want to pay the fine in person but I'm afraid ill be locked in jail for days, what should I do. My record is clean for this, and I've never hurt a fly ( I got the ticket while I was in the passenger seat for godsakes)

Not paying a civil ticket will not result in an arrest warrant being issued. However, if you don't pay the ticket your DL will be suspended. Once suspended you could then be arrested for driving on a suspended license.

Go to your local clerk's office and pay the ticket. Once you get the receipt take it to your local driver's license office and get your license reinstated. The ticket is civil, you will not be arrested.

You're not going to get arrested. However, you will get your license suspended. You need to find a way to pay immediately. If you don't pay, and you are quite driving with a suspended license, then you will face criminal charges, so it is in your best interest to deal with this now before it snowballs out of control.
