What is required for a parent to evict an adult child from their home?
An adult son and his girlfriend are staying in his mother's house. They don't pay rent, there is no lease agreement, etc. They do not contribute anything to their own living expenses despite both having jobs.
Bottom line, the son is not willing to negotiate with his mother or change his ways without being forced to do so. What is the legal action for a parent to take in this situation? The son claims that because he receives mail there, it is considered his home (despite not paying anything for it) and by FL law he needs a 30-day eviction notice. Is this true and are there any exceptions to the time frame, such as mother feels threatened, etc?
