No stop or stand violation. Was not given or mailed a physical ticket. Location written is incorrect.

I work at 10 St. James Ave, Boston. I have worked there for 3 years. Outside the door it does not say anything about no stop or standing. Down the block is 30 St. James Ave, where there is a no stop or standing sign. I never got the physical ticket nor did I get a mailed ticket prior to now receiving a notice identifying the ticket number, violation and the 21 day penalty amounting to 100 dollars from the 75. How would I appeal to this? If I was stopped/standing, wouldn't the enforcement agent have time to give me the ticket? Yes, there could be the assumption that I drove off, but then again I was not in the said area of violation where there has the no stop/standing rule.

Go see a registry hearings officer. Explain that you never received a ticket, either in hand or by mail and you wish to appeal. They should be able to manually enter in your request. That being said, if you appeal, take pictures of the location to refute the ticket. Also there is a statute in MA that lists as a defense to a ticket not giving to the operator in hand. You should be able to raise this defense at the hearing.

The parking situation is crazy down there. Attorney Broadbent has given you what you need to resolve the matter. My Q is about your comment: how did you receive notice if you are not the owner of the vehicle? Is this a lease or a company car?
