What is the difference ? I'm on probation for dui I wasn't violated for drunk in public last year but recently I got caught for dui on a bicycle and was put in a tank till I was sober. I did work release to pay off my fines & completed it. I'll be done with my dui classes by next month and I will be starting aa classes as well. My question is will I get violated on my court day and have to do time or will they schedule me for another court date so I can work with a public defender?

Are you asking if your DUI probation was violated by the BUI or by being drunk in public? Technically, both are violations of the law and are, therefore, violations of probation. If you had any restrictions about consuming alcohol has a condition of your DUI probation, then these could be evidence that you violated probation by consuming the alcoholic beverages. It is really up to the judge and/or DA to decide how they want to proceed. Consult an attorney in the area where you are on probation. This person can tell you if this is something the DA may want to pursue. Since you also seemed to ask, there is a difference between drunk in public and BUI. It is illegal to operate a bicycle under the influence. California Vehicle Code Section 21200.5 covers this violation. If you are under 21, DMV can even suspend your license. I hope this clarifies. Best of luck.
