Your question is unclear. All 245(i) does is allow one to adjust status in the US if one has a means to do so. It has nothing to do with priority dates.
245i gives you the ability to file for adjustment of status upon paying a fine and visa availability. however, you only keep the pd if you have the same petitioner in most circumstances unless you live in the fifth circuit. tom
§245(i) does not accelerate priority dates. It merely gives a benefit to CERTAIN individuals to adjust status in the USA, when those persons might otherwise be unable to do so. For an applicant to qualify for the benefits that §245(i) might provide, that applicant must generally be the beneficiary of a petition bearing a priority date on or before 30 April 2001. §245(i) is complex, and you're unlikely to get a clear answer to a less-than-clear question without contacting a qualified immigration attorney.
Thank you for your question. Please let me remind you that although I am an attorney, I am not YOUR attorney. The information I am giving you is general information about the law. If you would like specific information or advice, you should contact a competent attorney who regularly practices in the field of immigration law.
