Anonymous3 views2 answers
i recently went to calexico California with a cousin and on my way back got pulled over for supposedly running a red light on a right turn, well i got the ticket for the light and for no insurance because a could not find the papers in the car(later found them), i heard that i could take the insurance policy to court or dmv wherever i have to and have it removed is it possible?.. also can i fight the red light charge? because im sure i did not run the light...
thanks for any advices
You will need to appear at the arraignment with the insurance paperwork showing you had a valid policy in force at the time you were cited. Most courts will charge you a "correction fee" around $25. You can also fight the red light ticket by setting that matter for trial.

Any ticket can be fought, it doesn't matter what the charge is. You should fight the ticket, and bring the proof that you were insured on the day of the violation with you to the trial.
Don't contact DMV, the traffic clerk's office of the court where you were cited is the proper venue.
