I filed an answer to her complaint for absolute divorce. Surprisingly, she has not done anything for 70 days??!

Do I file an order of default? Do I file for counter-complaint for absolute divorce? Do I file for an uncontested hearing? A helpful answer from anyone would be appreciated. I had an attorney last year, but he was eating my money, so, I decide to be on my own after I got laid off and now I am sitting without a proper job for the last 8 months. Thanks!

The appropriate answer depends largely on your legal objectives. Do you want an Absolute Divorce? Or do you want a Limited Divorce? Or do you prefer that no divorce occur at all. Do you want to split any property with her? Do you have any minor children with her? What is your income and what is her income? Will she owe you support or will you owe her support? All of these questions are relevant to getting the right answers. Perhaps you would do well to hire an attorney again to get the advice you need. The short answer to your question: Your legal objectives will govern what you do next, whether you file a motion or not, and what the objectives of that motion will be.
