How many people can live in a 1 bedroom apt in Nashville, TN?

I'm a single working person who lives in an apt complex in Nashville, TN. I work hard and, when I get off, I want to come home to peace. Instead I come home and ALLLLLLLL night, there are kids running and slamming doors in my building. I thought 1 bedroom apt's where for single people or a single couple with NO kids. We also have a right to peace and quiet. That's the reason for 2, 3, 4 bedroom apt's. So that people with kids WILL NOT disturb the residence who DON'T have kids. It's not fair and something should be done about it. I report it to the property manager but, NOTHING is done about it. Even she said that, there is NOT suppose to be more than 2 people LIVING in a 1 bedroom unit. Again, it's not fair for ME to have to move out when I'm not doing anything illegal.

The issue isn't how many can live in a small space. The question is whether one person or several are committing the tort of "Nuisance". I'd say that any Judge or jury would agree. You need to sue the landlord and sue the people making the noise. Here's a cut ' paste from a Google search: "...A private nuisance is a civil wrong; it is the unreasonable, unwarranted, or unlawful use of one's property in a manner that substantially interferes with the enjoyment or use of another individual's property, without an actual Trespass or physical invasion to the land. ..."
