Can a caregiver stipen from the va be garnished for hospital debt? If I'm receiviing benefits from the va can my bank account be

Have a judgement against me for all my hosptital debt. Will be receiving a stipen check from the va for being a caregiver for my boyfriend who is a veteran. Getting mixed ansers if its garnishable. Was also told if it is goverment money it can't be touched in my bank.
