Where do i find procedural law for renewed motion for summary judgment?

Litigation 6 views 3 answers
From what I have been told the plaintiff most likely filed a renewed motion for summary judgement, as the summary judgement has been filed 5 times in the past with no result to my knowledge. I have never been informed that any of them were filed, only found out of sheer luck when looking at the court records (which i cannot see in full detail online). Where can I find procedural law with regards to motions for summary judgement as well as renewed motion for summary judgement so that I can research it more thoroughly, as I have never received any notifications of previous filings, only a change of attorney within firm and a notice of filing of amount due?

If you are representing yourself then you should receive a copy of anything filed in the case. You need to check to make sure that the Plaintiff's counsel has your correct address. If not, file a Notice of Change of Address. If they do, then you should bring their failures up to the Court. It is best to do this through an attorney. The chances of a pro se litigant prevailing at a Summary Judgment hearing are very low. You should seek out an experienced foreclosure attorney immediately.

This forum was not meant to be a means for a "virtual representation" by an attorney. Rather, the goal is to give general advice and let the questioner decide whether he/she needs an attorney. Would you operate on your yourself?

Responding to an SJ motion requires legal knowledge. If you have any chance of prevailing, retain counsel! If it were as easy as looking at the internet, you wouldn't be asking lawyers this question. Retain a local attorney,
