In Illinois the statute of limitations on fraud is five years. If seven years ago someone defrauded me but I only learned about it this year, am I allowed to sue the person?

The statute of limitations on fraud can be extended if the defendant "concealed" the fraud. This is always a case-specific analysis. You should consult an attorney with experience in this area of the law. Most of us provdie free consultations. www.galivanlaw.net

Concealment is the key evidence. Seek counsel.
