Have already filed for divorce. Includes child custody and child support. Also wanted to know that if I can turn this into an uncontested divorce would I still get money for child and my support ?

All of the questions you have asked require more analysis to provide a proper answer. While I understand your funds are low at this time, you may schedule a consult with an attorney to ask your questions. Even if they charge a small consultation fee, they will probably be able to advise you on the proper procedures necessary for your case.

Depending upon the marital assets or the income of your estranged spouse, an attorney may take the case on a deferred basis - in the hopes that they will be paid after the case is completed. You should call attorneys in your area and give them a little more information. You can ask for a free or low cost initial consultation. As to whether it is contested or not, that will depend upon whether your spouse is agreeing to pay the support and has agreed to custody. It is still contested if he does not agree to those things.

Contact your local legal aid office and see if they'll take your case. If not, they may be able to steer you in the right direction.
