I pay child support every two weeks I have records..my license was suspended they say I am behind on payments..in court the judge said every two weeks was ok..they have not updated there information now I have no license..how am I to get to work now or do and provide for my family if I can't drive to work??
It is so frustrating when the judge and the clerk and sometimes the Department of Revenue are not on the same page. Did the judge actually issue an order stating that you were current with your support obligations? If so, get a certified copy of that order and overnight it to the agencies calling for the suspension. Also, if you have such an order and you do drive CARRY IT WITH YOU IN YOUR CAR AT ALL TIMES. If you don't have an order clearing it up, then you need to file a motion with the court to clear it up and order that your license be reinstated. Might need an attorney familiar with the DOR/Tally/clerk merry-go-round in order to get this worked out. Best of luck!
What you should do is contest the suspension. The clerk in your county might even have a form for you to fill out and submit, or you might be able to find such a form at flcourts.org. Get that done quickly, and sometimes the court itself will set a hearing on this.
