Is it ok to sign a rental lease with a Co-Owner who is divorced?

I am finalizing a house to rent with a landlord who just got divorced. She is a co-owner on the property. Can she lease it out and be the only signatory on the lease? What are the risks i face and what should i take care of before signing the lease?

Who is the other co-owner? Both owners needs to sign the lease unless she has been granted some type of authority to sign on the other owners's behalf. Have you tried speaking to her about your concerns? You should have an attorney review the lease before signing it if it's causing you concern. Spend $150-$300 and you'll be happy that you did.
