Can an Illinois cop take an out of state license?
I know someone this happened to. Got pulled over and arrested for DUI. The officer released them on I-Bond but kept their out of state CDL.

Yes and will cooperate with the local county authorities

The out of state license is taken in lieu of bond, It is perfectly legal.
