What does it mean when an Arrest Warrant is Vacated but charges are active and I have never been arrested or knew of charges?

In June 2012 I was let go by my employer because I had signed my own checks. it came out that I had over paid myself 5000k over the course of a year. When I left he did not indicate if he would charge me with anything, but a police officer called me to make a statement which I was advised by attorneys not to. I had not heard anything regarding the case however I did a background check and see that a warrant was issued and vacated and Charges have been filed the status is Active. I have never moved and no one has shown up to arrest me. I don't know what I should do next, but I am very nervous about what to expect. What does this all mean?

This appears somewhat convoluted since it appears that there is no warrant and the charges are active. Typically if charges are filed then there is a case. If you don't appear for the case, then there is a warrant. It could quite possibly be that the warrant is an old warrant. You may wish to have an attorney look into this matter on your behalf. Many reputable attorneys may make a few phone calls on your behalf free of charge to determine where this case is. You should consult an attorney who will know what to do to get to the bottom of what has happened. Many of us on provide a free consultation. But act now.

I agree with my colleagues. An attorney could check into this for you. Have your attorney do this- but be careful.
