Issue with writing behind passport size photos for I-485 , I-765 & I-131 for F2A. Typed name & A# with dark black sharpie pen.

I'm about to submit my I-485 petition under F2A category as I meet all the necessary conditions needed to file. I just realized that the instructions mention and the priority date will be current for August: "...using pencil or felt pen, lightly print your name & A# on the back of the photo... " . The word "lightly" has me concerned since I wrote name & A# with dark black sharpie pen. It doesn't smear the image and is also not visible when viewing the front side of the pics. Should I just go get 6 new pics and writing using a pencil OR will I be fine sending the pics in the current state ? Thanks

It should be fine to submit the pictures as is. You should still consult an attorney to review your packet to make sure you are not missing any documentation. Gabriela M. Lopez, Esq. www.landerholmlawoffice.com

In this context, "Lightly" means do not press hard. My colleague is correct. Don 't be too self-confident about your understanding of immigration law & procedure. Have an attorney review your kit .... if you make a mistake, you'll really regret it when the F-2A priority dates 'retrogress'.

As long as you did not press hard and the sharpie affected the photograph they should be fine. If the photo's are damaged in any then yes send new photos. 321.208.7324 [email protected] www.brownimmigrationFL.com Robert Brown LLC Baldwin Park 4767 New Broad Street Orlando, Florida 32814
