How long to HOA's have to respond to architectural review requests in state of Florida?

Needed new roof. Submitted architectural review request to HOA. Called and left messages several times. After two months with no response put on new roof (same color, same material). Now charged fine for not having permission.

You will need to check your Declarations to see if there is language which states they have 30 days to respond to the application or it is automatically approved. You will also need proof of when you submitted your application and how it was submitted. I am certain they will claim they never received it.
