What is an Informal Accounting and why would I have to approve it?

The Executor, whom I believe has been playing freely with my Father's Estate, sent me an email saying I must approve an INFORMAL Accounting and I'll receive the actual accounting later. This does not sound right, but not one Attorney will answer my question? Why?

You have no obligation to approve anything that you disagree with. The last sentence is not clear. It may be your approach. You need to contact and hire a probate attorney to help you protect your rights and object to the account as necessary and appropriate.

You do not have to approve an informal accounting. in fact-you can demand a formal accounting.
