I used to be a drug addict. I used drugs to help cope with my life and the depression I felt every day as I was a victim of CSA. Now that I would like to file a police report for the crimes I was a victim of the police ignore me, and don't take my claims seriously. They tell me that I'm wasting my time and theirs. What should I do? I strongly feel like they know that I was a victim of CSA but if they take a report then they are kind of admitting that they didn't investigate one of my arrests properly and they are out arresting people without conducting their investigation thoroughly. As I had never been arrested or even in any trouble prior to being arrested for drug possession. The police asked my mom all types of questions but didn't ask me anything. My mom abused me/had me arrested.
Crimes have Statutes of Limitations, and Drug Addicts have a lot of stories to tell. If the abuse is not recent, it will be your word against Mom. If you are/were on drugs and arrested multiple times, credibility is an issue. I think you should look forward to creating a bright life, rather than backward into the dark shadows.
It is highly likely that your claims will not be taken seriously. Time to move on and let that chapter of your life close behind you. Good luck.
