Can pioneer credit recovery call my work? can they garnish my wages?

i was mortified when they called my place of work and annoucned the name of their company (CLEARLY a debt collector). can they legally do this? they also said i might be looking at wage garnishment, is it true they can do that?
IF they've been told that you are not allowed to take calls like theirs at work, then they are legally obligated to cease calling. But, if this was the first call, then they could legally do it. As for garnishment, if they sue you and obtain a judgment, they certainly can garnish your wages. TN laws allows for it, with some limitations.
They will continue to call your work until you tell them to stop. You can familiarize yourself with the FCDPA. In order to garnish wages, they must first sue, win, and get a judgment against you. Depending on how much you owe, you may want to consider consulting with a debt settlement or bankruptcy attorney in your area for your options.

Yes, they can call you at work until you tell them - in writing - to stop. They could garnish your wages if they obtain a judgment against you.
Is this a debt purchaser? If so, it may be wise to sue them if the facts are there to do so,
