i'm a green card holder (3 years before citizenship). My bf (he has lived in US all this years with his wife-citizen) was rejected in his case with his previous wife and now he is in the divorce process. Which status will he get (if any) if he get married with me after getting divorce? And what he needs to do better for not to become illegal here? Thanks for your time.

If you want to help your friend, urge him to speak with an immigration attorney. If you just marry him to help him, after a prior rejection (presumably for marriage fraud), both of your may face criminal liability. There are other ways to remain in the US legally but we need more facts about your friends to recommend the most viable route.

Complex question. He is out of status if he has no other status already plus smells like CIS thinks marriage fraud on which case his burden is huge. Also other problems. Get a good attorney

He will likely get no status. Also, if the prior application was "rejected" due to marriage fraud, then he will never be able to get residence through marriage. He needs to talk to a local immigration attorney; we need more facts about his situation.
