Those are both Class X felonies and boot camp is not a sentencing option on a Class X conviction. If the defendant were convicted of some lesser offense it might become a possibility . My instincts are that it would be a tough sell, but might happen in some cases.

These are extremely serious charges. The person charged needs to seek the assistance of a good attorney ASAP. Boot camp is the least of his worries at the moment but will be addressed as the case proceeds.

You suggest a doubtful outcome with the felony charges you described. It would appear as a disproportionately light sentence to fare out with a boot camp on two violent above felonies. You are looking at some serious time and my professional suggestion is to retain a reputable Illinois licensed attorney to fight for your freedom.

The defendant is not eligible for boot camp if convicted as charged. An attorney might be able to secure a reduction to a boot-camp eligible offense, depending upon the facts, the defendant's criminal history, and the skill and experience of his/her attorney. www.galivanlaw.net
