Could there be legal action for circulating a privately taken and failed polygraph if the person examined signed a waiver?

There was a private polygraph taken in which the person examined failed resulting in a discovery of abuse to their children. Could there be legal recourse for circulating this polygraph to the police or family members in an attempt to protect the children involved? The polygraph was taken with a reputable retired sheriff that was privately hired. Due to the confidentiality of this private polygraph the examiner was unable to take legal action. A release form was signed by the person examined to release all results of that polygraph to me. I am the other parent to the said children. There is a custody battle involved as well. However due to the family court laws the polygraph is not admissible.

Are you asking if you will get in trouble if you turn the results over to the police? If so you should consult your family lawyer before you do anything.
