I actually have several questions: 1) how long does it typically take from beginning to end 2) what is approximate cost with 1 arbiter 3) is the process and motions filed confidential/sealed 4) what is composition of a typical award: for example how typical are awards for : unpaid bonuses owed severance lost wages due to reputational issues economic gain of employer from an employee's projects after an employee got wrongfully terminated

It takes a lot less time than a court case, typically about six months. Each arbitrator charges their own fees, maybe $1000-$1500 per day. Reputation and unfair economic gain are not typically awarded in wrongful termination suits.

If you are represented by counsel, you should ask your attorney. If not, then you should thoroughly familiarize yourself with the rules of the AAA. http://www.adr.org/aaa/faces/rules/searchrules?_afrLoop=18891241708637&_afrWindowMode=0&_afrWindowId=al1qon5uw_76#%40%3F_afrWindowId%3Dal1qon5uw_76%26_afrLoop%3D18891241708637%26_afrWindowMode%3D0%26_adf.ctrl-state%3Dal1qon5uw_193

The amount of time can depend on how much discovery the arbitrator allows.
