Will a DWAI show up on background check? I had my background checked a few weeks ago.

I had my background checked a few weeks ago by a staffing agency for my present job position. My recruiter pulled up my background entered all of my personal information on the computer in front of me and there was no hits on my record. I told her about my DWAI before, but the whole thing seems weird.

All background checks are different. They depend on which company the staffing agency uses to do background checks, what types of background checks they are doing, and where they are requesting the background information from. It is usually in your best interest to disclose information you believe they are asking about - no matter what you believe the agency will end up finding.

Probably. Some just show arrests and felony convictions which may let you squeak by if you were just given a summons, but most will show all convictions, and a DWAI is a traffic misdemeanor conviction. I would be honest with your recruiter rather than letting him be surprised by the results of the check.

If they do a driving history background check, yes the DWAI and all other driving offenses will show up.
