My parents are here in B2 visa. Their I94 expires in dec 8th. I have filed for their extension on Nov 4th. We have not received any news. Now the problem is should they leave or stay? Will their status have any effect if they stay pass their I94 since the application is pending? And if they do stay, what happens if their I94 comes denied? What happens for their next travel?? So many questions. We are losing our sleep just thinking about this. We extended only for few months and we do not even know if the trouble of staying pass the I94 is worth it. Please help thanks.

Yes, they can stay since they filed an extension prior to the expiration of their current I-94. If the extension is denied, then they will need to leave as soon as possible. As long as they do, then there should be no problems next time they travel to the US.

They are allowed to stay here during the adjudication of their B-2 Visa extension. If their extension is denied, they will have to leave the country. If they stay in the U.S. past the denial, they will start accruing unlawful presence.
