You can try filing a motion to modify the orders of the court so that you do not have fulfill this requirement. However, in many states and for many offenses certain programs are required as part of the sentence. You can also try to contact the court or probation to see if there is a program that is offered at a reduced rate. Lastly, you can talk to a local criminal defense lawyer about modifying your sentence to see if the requirements can be changed.

If the court where you were sentenced ordered this program, I feel you will have to complete the program. I suggest you start by speaking to the attorney who represented you on your underlying charge as he or she will know what the court's policy is in this regard.
