I was currelty workning a 12 hour shift for black friday. Finally I was able to go home but before that I had to go trough LP ( in Macy's). There a women yanked my purse and looked in all my personal belongings without my permission until she found a wallet (worth $60). She accused me of tefth and brought me inside a small room for questioning. I told her it was not mine and she called her manager, there the guy (manager) used foul language accused me of being a thief and said that I needed to comply or it was going to get worse. He also used violence took my bag and took away my cellphone saying that I could not call anyone. He made a statement saying that it was for records and that if I sign it I would get to go home, I did. Instead he called the police , I was arrested, send to county

This sounds like a fairly standard retail theft case. You need to hire an experienced defense attorney as soon as possible.

Only you know if you put the item in your purse. You should seek an attorney and try to get a reduced charge if that is acceptable to you. If you are truly not guilty of this theft charge, signing that statement was certainly a lapse in judgment on your part. You should have refused to sign and walked out. But hindsight is 20-20 as they say. They may have video or eyewitness evidence against you. If so, that may be why they were aggressive with you. Again an attorney will help you navigate this matter.
